Miniature Painting Contest

Back by popular demand, as we had to turn attendees away last year; Battlegrounds is hosting this contest and providing prizes. Showcase your skills at painting miniatures. Cost is $28 to cover materials. This will include brushes, paints and miniature. Different miniatures kits available. Runs all day Friday until 10pm when we will judge for a winner.

Freeplay Fighting Games

Throughout the day there will be consoles available to play every game being run this weekend and more! Whether its practice before a tournament, some friendly competition, or just mashing some buttons just ask a volunteer or staff and we will get you setup with a game. If you’re new to these games or just need a little refresher, lessons and tutorials on how to play will be available on request!

Once a year our Council get together and put aside their differences, to combine in merry and heart, so they can celebrate the well being of their people. You! This being said we will make it a night to remember!!!

What does this mean? You're invited to the Palace for Dinner and a show!

Let your heart and spirit enjoy happy times at the convention in the world of the Elements. There will be a meal provided, as well as snacks, drinks, silliness, and a movie to watch during this peaceful time.

Survive: Escape from Atlantis

Survive is a cutthroat board game where players seek to evacuate their pieces from an island that is breaking up, while remembering where their highest-valued pieces are located to maximize their score.

An island made up of 40 hex-tiles is slowly sinking into the ocean (as the tiles are removed from the board). Each player controls ten people (valued from 1 to 6) that they try and move towards the safety of the surrounding islands before the main island finally blows up. Players can either swim or use boats to travel but must avoid sea serpents, whales and sharks on their way to safety.

Werewolf takes place in a small town where a minority of the townsfolk hold a dangerous secret. Werewolf is a social game where werewolves win when there are an equal number of Villagers and Werewolves. Villagers win when they have killed all Werewolves.

Blood on the Clocktower

Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 20 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons before they outnumber the townfolk.

Rise of Tribes

In ancient prehistoric times, you have discovered a new land with plentiful lakes, mountains and forests (and apparently many stone rocks that shall be called dice). Your people can develop new things like basketry or find oxen or simply GROW and conquer.

In Rise of Tribes, players control a tribal faction in prehistoric times looking to GROW, MOVE, GATHER, and LEAD their people. The board is modular, composed of hexes in various terrain types. Each hex has a population limit. Players manage the number of tribe members they place on any one hex to either trigger or avoid conflict.

Root

Root is a board game of adventure and war in which 2 to 4 (1 to 6 with the 'Riverfolk' expansion) players battle for control of a vast wilderness. Like Vast: The Crystal Caverns, each player in Root has unique capabilities and a different victory condition. Now, with the aid of gorgeous, multi-use cards, a truly asymmetric design has never been more accessible.

The nefarious Marquise de Cat has seized the great woodland, intent on harvesting its riches. Under her rule, the many creatures of the forest have banded together. This Alliance will seek to strengthen its resources and subvert the rule of Cats. In this effort, the Alliance may enlist the help of the wandering Vagabonds who are able to move through the more dangerous woodland paths. Though some may sympathize with the Alliance’s hopes and dreams, these wanderers are old enough to remember the great birds of prey who once controlled the woods.

Meanwhile, at the edge of the region, the proud, squabbling Eyrie have found a new commander who they hope will lead their faction to resume their ancient birthright. The stage is set for a contest that will decide the fate of the great woodland. It is up to the players to decide which group will ultimately take root.

The D&D Adventurers League Epic is coming to Animaritime!

On Saturday, June 29, at 6pm answer the rallying cry to defend Ten-Towns from a beastly army! Fear not, brave adventurer, for you won’t face Fortararavkott (or “Devourer of Flesh” in Common)’s hoard alone. The scope of this undertaking will span several tables with dozens of players charged with completing four separate, but interlocking missions. This unique experience can only be described as… EPIC.

The D&D Adventurers League is an ongoing official organized play campaign for Dungeons & Dragons. It uses the fifth edition of the Dungeons & Dragons rules. You can create a character and bring that character to games anywhere D&D Adventurers League is supported.

For Saturday’s Epic adventure, all manner of characters are welcome, from levels 1 to 4! Pre-gens will be available.

Help! I want to play in the D&D Epic on Saturday, but I do not even know how to play Dungeon and Dragons. Learn everything needed to play in Saturday's D&D Epic. No experience preferred.
